Dan had his hair shaved off on Saturday 21st March and managed to raise nearly £300 for Fully Alive - many thanks to everyone who helped out or sponsored him. The money raised will go towards purchasing some new equipment, including a video projector to watch films.

Saturday November 15th seems a long time ago now, but we’ve only just finished collecting the sponsorship money together and planning how it’s going to be spent.
We started off on Glyndwr’s Way outside Llangunllo, and the weather was quite pleasant, although wet underfoot. The first half of the walk was quite a tough climb and by the time we reached half way, we were in need of a rest. Shortly after starting off again, the weather turned nasty and most of us got soaked during the remaining 4 miles of the route. When we finally reached Knighton, we decided to pop by the pub for some well-earned refreshment!
In total, we have raised approximately £700, some of which is to be set aside to purchase a projector for the group, while the rest will be used to subsidise trips, purchase some more equipment (perhaps a keyboard or electric guitar) and cover any financial costs (e.g. insurance).
Dan is going to shave his afro off to raise money for Fully Alive. The date has provisionally been set for Saturday 21st March, and it will take place in the Barley Mow, Hereford Street - feel free to come along. Please show your support by sponsoring him - all money raised will go to purchase new equipment or subsidise trips.
If you have Facebook, you can join the Facebook group. Otherwise, see him in person to pledge your support.
A very happy New Year to you and your family! Fully Alive will be starting up again on 9th January.
This year we will be making a few changes to the programme which we hope will benefit all our members. In the interest of all the kids we have decided to divide the club into juniors (up to 15 years) and seniors (15+ years).
The Junior group will meet at 5pm and stay for a joint meal with the seniors which will commence at 6.15 pm. (Any seniors coming straight from school are very welcome to join the first group or find a quiet corner in the Barley Mow to get on with homework.) Read the rest of this entry »
